TRC Remanufacturing Process & Testing

To ensure the performance and reliability you need, TRC performs these specific remanufacturing and quality control operations on each Allison transmission:

  • Complete disassembly of the old transmission or "core."
  • Individual parts are thoroughly cleaned and quality inspected.
  • Parts not meeting strict quality specifications are either machined to meet OEM specifications or replaced.
  • The transmission is reassembled and then dynamometer tested.
  • State-of-the-art testing equipment inspects our Allison remanufactured transmissions at the same capacity and capability as OEM transmission plants.

All Major Components Fully Inspected

Our factory trained technicians carefully examine each component in the transmission assembly. We use the highest quality parts and incorporate the OEM's latest design changes in our remanufactured units.

Only the Highest Quality Parts Are Used

All major components such as gears, shafts and housing are inspected for stress and wear. Components not meeting OEM specifications are replaced

Quality Control

Complete Testing of All Vital Processes

All our transmissions are tested for cold/hot oil pressure, slippage, gear noise, converter noise, shift pattern, up and down shifts, leaks and converter flow.

Quality Control

Fully Tested and Calibrated Valve Bodies

Valve bodies are mounted on our Aidco 250 valve body tester and are calibrated before installation on your transmission.

Quality Control

Testing and Quality Control is Documented

After testing is complete the results are entered into our diagnostic computer, then quality control tags and start-up instructions are attached to your transmission.
